7 365 1 is een dag planner voor zeven jaar. Het gaat om herhaling, evolueren en reflectie. Omdat zeven jaar de termijn is dat je lichaam al je cellen wisselt, zou het bijna een naslagwerk kunnen zijn van hoe je in die zeven jaar geëvolueerd bent.
7 365 1 is a day planner for seven years. It is about repetition, evolution and reflection. Since seven years is the time period that your body changes all your cells, it could almost be a reference book of how you evolved in those seven years.

BRUSSEL is een reeks analoge foto’s die
ik getrokken heb in Brussel. Waarbij er een referentie wordt gemaakt naar de enveloppe waar vroeger de ontwikkelde en geprinte foto’s in zaten.
Om het gevoel te vergroten, zijn de foto’s proportioneel vergroot naar 40x60 cm.
Op deze manier wordt het bladeren door
de foto’s echt een ervaring.
BRUSSELS is a series of analogue photographs that I pulled in Brussels. In which there is a reference to the envelope that used to contain the developed and printed photos.
To enhance the feeling, the photos have been proportionally enlarged to 40x60 cm.
In this way, leafing through the photos really becomes an experience.

Aan de hand van vijf boeken uit de de kunsten bibliotheek in Gent heb ik twee publicaties ontworpen die mijn ego en een alter-ego representeren. De bedoeling is dat het ego boek een representatie is van hoe ik overkom, dat is de buitenschil, strak, zwart wit, duidelijk en binnen het kader, binnen het grid, het is gecontroleerd. Het alter-ego is wat er binnenin huist, dit is kleur, chaos, geen ritme, klein en afgrond. De insert in het ego boek is dan ook een overvloedige uitleg terwijl de “insert” van alter-ego een spiegel is met het minimum aan uitleg
Using five books from the arts library in Ghent, I designed two publications that represent
my ego and an alter-ego. The ego book is meant to be a representation of how I come across, this is the outer shell, clean, black and white, clear and within the framework, within the grid, it is controlled. The alter-ego is what resides inside, this is colour, chaos, no rhythm, small and abyssal. The insert in the ego book is therefore a copious explanation while

the minimum of explanation

duidelijk EN heftig, is een publicatie waarin deze twee woorden de leidraad zijn. Het is een samenwerking van beelden en enkele teksten. De beelden zijn uit eigen archief om het contrast van duidelijk en heftig extra te benadrukken. De rode draad in de publicatie zijn de kastenspeelkaarten die op elke pagina terugkomen. Zij bepalen de verhoudingen binnenin de publicatie. 52 kaarten betekent 52 pagina’s. Omdat de publicatie een cover nodig heeft, is ervoor gekozen om de jokers van het kaartenboek hiervoor te gebruiken. Dit omdat de jokers een deel zijn van het kaartenboek, maar ook niet en hetzelfde geldt voor de cover van het boek.
duidelijk EN heftig (clear and fierce), is a publication in which these two words are
the guidelines. It is a collaboration of images and some texts. The images are from our own archive to add to the contrast of clear and fierce. The common thread in the publication is the cabinet cards that recur on every page. They define the proportions inside the publication. 52 cards means 52 pages. Since the publication needs a cover, it was decided to use the jokers from the card book for this purpose. This is because the jokers are a part of the card book, but also not and the same goes for the cover of the book.
Herinnering aan het zuinig plooien is een bundel van diverse teksten, een reader waarin verschillende auteurs, schrijvers en woordkunstenaars elkaar ontmoeten. Om rust te creëren tussen de teksten, heb ik ervoor gekozen haiku’s te integreren. Deze haiku’s kunnen verplaatst, verwijderd, of gewoon gelaten worden. Ze fungeren als rustpunten doorheen het boek, zodat de lezer telkens opnieuw een moment van concentratie kan vinden na het lezen van een tekst.
Herinnering aan het zuinig plooien or translated “Reminder of Gentle Folding” is a collection of diverse texts—a reader where various authors, writers, and word artists come together.
To create moments of calm between the texts, I chose to integrate haikus. These haikus can be moved, removed, or simply left as they are. They serve as resting points throughout the book, offering the reader a chance to find a moment of focus after reading each text.
Is een publicatie waarin ik een ode wil geven aan de mode ontwerper Yohji Yamamoto. Het is een publicatie waarbij dekleur van de cover en de binding van de publicatie verwijzen naar de meest gebruikte kleuren. Het binnenwerk is in zwart wit en het is gevouwen en gebonden op een Japanse wijze.
Is a publication in which I want to pay tribute to the fashion designer Yohji Yamamoto. It is
a publication where the colour of the cover and the binding of the publication refer to the most commonly used colours. The inside is in black and white and it is folded and bound in
a Japanese manner.
The garden is een verzamelkrant, waar we allemaal een spread in hebben. Het vertrekpunt is een eigen gestekt, opgekweekt en geplant plantje. In dit project zijn de teksten en beelden gekozen doormiddel van de plant en het groeien te linken aan liefde. Omdat de eerste tekst die ik daarin verwerkt heb een is van hoe mijn mama haar groenten wekt, en zij omschrijft het als LIEFDE.
The garden is a collectible newspaper, in which we all have a spread. The starting point is
a plant that we have grown and planted ourselves. In this project, the texts and images were chosen by linking the plant and growing to love. Because the first text I incorporated in it is one of how my mum wakes her vegetables, and she describes it as LOVE.
